After much deliberation, the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department finally decided to construct a shooting range in Essex County. The range is located a couple of miles south of route 105 on the South America Pond Road in the town of Ferdinand. It is well constructed and meets all safety and ecological regulations.
The State of Vermont oversaw the construction of this project and had previously asked the VTFWCG if it would be willing to perform maintenance on this facility. We have accepted responsibility and have entered into a memorandum of understanding with the State of Vermont on this project
If there are any range issues, please contact Walt 802-723-6290
Contact the local Game Warden as the law enforcement officer for the facility.
